User Experience

(Dec. 29, 2019) – In fall 2019, I taught a fully online, graduate course on User Experience (UX). This course is offered through Loyola University Maryland’s Emerging Media masters program.

In this course, students acquired knowledge on the human-centered design approach and applied that knowledge to the creation of communication content, such as app prototype, website/webpages, and infographics.

Five modules of this course covered these topics: UX philosophies, web usability and accessibility, smartphone design guidelines, UX research methods, inclusive design, techniques/approaches to wireframing and prototyping, and prototype and wireframe testing.

This course partnered with the UserTesting.Com’s University Partnership program that offered a GIFT code for each student enrolled in this course to run three user tests free of cost.

Below please find examples of selected final projects in UX course where students had to follow the human-centered approach in four phases of the design process discovery, idea testing, prototyping, and prototype testing.
